Educational Escape Room in Physics: Overview
An Educational Escape Room (ER) at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover Foundation (TiHo) allows veterinary students to apply physics knowledge through interactive problem-solving. The ER, titled "Save Schrödinger's Cat," covers variuos topics like mechanics, electromagnetism, and optics. Students solve puzzles to unlock further challenges, promoting collaborative learning and addressing gaps in physics understanding. This "inverted escape room" concept involves moving from a modern room with mirrors to a rustic room "Schrödinger's study." Optional Eurogame-inspired puzzles add strategy and motivation. Funded by the "InnovationPlus" program, this ER is among the first to comprehensively integrate physics into higher education in germany. Our Feedback shows the students find the experience engaging and well-designed.
