Overview of our Escape Room in Physics

In 2023, an educational escape room in physics was build on the University of
Veterinary Medicine Hanover Foundation. Here, gamification is used as a tool in education realized by a live-action team-based game where players discover clues, solve puzzles, and accomplish tasks. Game-based and educational escape rooms have advantages compared to conventional lectures and practical courses promoting teamwork, constructive communication, an increased learning gain, critical thinking, problem-solving and creativity.
An adventure-like enjoyment is an additional advantages breaking up the rigid structure of a university.
