Effekt von Milchinhaltsstoffen (Lactose und Casein), Sojaeiweiß und Calciumzulagen auf den Calcium-, Phosphat- und Knochenstoffwechsel beim Schwein mit Vitamin D-Mangel
soy protein, casein, calcium. - In humans a number of calcium and phosphate metabolic diseases occur, such as postnatal hypocalcemia in low birth weight babies and osteoporosis, which are largely refractory to vitamin D therapy. Since a couple of years attempts have been undertaken to prevent or to treat such diseases by certain dietetic measures. In animal experiments, particularly with small rodents, is could be shown that certain milk components, such as lactose and casein and a high calcium intake, positively affected the calcium and possibly phosphate metabolism, independent from vitamin D. It was the aim of the present study to find out to what extent such positive dietary effects could also be exerted in a large mammalian species such as pigs.
